Employee notifications

When an employee tells you that something you wait for is done, or that it needs you, and where it reaches you.

Where

Dashboard sidebar → Settings → Employee notifications. Every user has their own settings.

What it does

Since v4.0.11 an employee can notify you when a long task is finished, when a result you waited for arrived, or when it is blocked and needs you. Never for small steps, and never while you are chatting with it.

The employee only says what happened and how important it is: normal, important or urgent. Geta.Team then decides when and where it reaches you, from your settings.

The settings

  • General: on or off, the lowest level that may reach you, and which employees may notify you.
  • Quiet hours: time ranges on chosen days, in your time zone. Notifications wait until the end and come as one. Urgent ones may still come through.
  • Devices: phone, desktop app and browser, in your order, the first available only or all of them, with or without sound. Nothing else is sent while Geta.Team is open in front of you: a small message on screen is enough. A phone with the mobile app gets it once, in the app.
  • Follow-up: if you have not seen it after a delay (5 minutes to 2 hours), the employee reaches you once through its own channels, in your order: Telegram, WhatsApp, email, SMS or a call. Seen means the notification was opened, or any activity of yours in Geta.Team.
  • Limits and grouping: a maximum per hour and per day (20 and 100 by default), notifications close together grouped into one, or a single daily summary at the time you choose. You can also show only who and when, without the content, which is handy on a locked screen.

Good to know

The employee knows, without it showing in the chat, where you write from (the web app on a computer or a phone, the desktop app, the mobile app). It can also check where you last wrote from, whether you are in quiet hours, and how many notifications are left.
