Hire & import employees
The three-step wizard, the Employee Catalog, and importing an existing employee.
Two entries in the dashboard sidebar create employees: New Employee, which opens a wizard, and Import Employee.
New Employee
The wizard is titled Hire Your AI Employee and has three steps.
Step 1 of 3 — Identity

First Name, Last Name, Age, Gender and Main Language are required. Nationality and City are optional.
Main Language is the one to get right. It is the language the employee writes and speaks in by default, on every channel including the phone.
Step 2 of 3 — Professional

Position is the only required field and the one that shapes the employee. Write it like a job title: Marketing / Social Media, DevOps Engineer, Admin / Assistant.
Communication Style is a set of chips, Formal, Direct, Analytical, Expressive, Persuasive, Storytelling and a dozen more, plus Add custom... for your own.
The button is Find My Perfect Employee, not Next: it generates the profile from what you described.
Step 3 of 3 — Photo

Upload a photo, or describe the person in Physical Traits and use Generate Image. The five Reference Images slots are optional and only guide the generation. Hire Employee creates the card.

The Employee Catalog
Rather than describing someone, pick a ready-made profile. The catalog filters by job type, Sales / Prospecting, Admin / Assistant, HR / Recruiting, Fullstack / DevOps, SEO / Content, Legal / Documents, Design / Creative, Finance / Accounting, Video / Production and more.

If none fits, Create your custom employee sends you back to the wizard.
Moving an employee: export and import
This is the question we get asked most often. You can take an employee out of one workspace and bring it into another, with its instructions, its skills and the files you choose.
Export
On the employee's card, open the ⋮ menu.

Five entries sit there: Share, Tracking, Export, Clone and Delete. Pick Export.
You choose what travels. Beyond the employee itself you select which files and folders to include, so you can move a worker without dragging along years of working documents.
What always goes into the archive:
- its name, its email address, its language and its status;
- its skills list, and
.skills/skills.json; - the authorised senders and receivers of its mailbox.
What never goes in: the identity of the account that owns it. That is what makes the archive usable in someone else's workspace.
You get a file named employee-export-‹employee›-‹date›.tar.gz.
Import
In the dashboard sidebar, click Import Employee.

Drop the .tar.gz archive on the panel, or click to browse. The employee is
recreated here with what the archive carried.
What to watch
The email address is the identity. On import, the archive is matched on the employee's email address, and if an employee with that address already exists you are told so rather than ending up with two. Plan the address before moving someone into a workspace that already has a namesake.
Export is not available on the free tier.
Clone is not export. Clone duplicates an employee inside the same workspace, which is what you want to give two people the same worker without sharing one. Export is for leaving the workspace.
